Winchester ~ Model 94 ~ .30-30 Winchester

This Model 94 is from 1965. Like many of these rifles from that era, we suspect that its receiver was made using the sintered-metal process which did not take to the standard blue finish very well. Winchester used some other finish types because of that, and this one appears to have been color case hardened. That finish has now seems to have mostly faded to a light patina, but it is not rusty. Not particularly rare, but still somewhat uncommon and appreciated by collectors. The blued parts retain most of their finish and look pretty good. The action is smooth and the bore is clean and bright. No box or case.
