Winchester ~ Model 9422 High Grade Series II ~ .22 Long / Long Rifle

Winchester Model 9422 High Grade Series II chambered in .22 Long and Long Rifle. Made during the 1998-99 production period, it features a factory-spec 20 !/2" blued barrel, richly figured walnut forearm and stock, 15-round tube magazine, and a factory-engraved receiver. The receiver shows elaborate wildlife engraving that depicts woodland animals, a dog, and foliage surrounded by intricate scrollwork. The figured walnut furniture has finely executed checkering and a rich glossy finish. It comes to us from a carefully maintained private collection and is in excellent condition overall, estimated at 95% or better. The metal has nearly all of its original-looking finish, with only minimal handling wear. The walnut is attractive, with striking grain patterns and very light evidence of use or handling. The bore is clean and bright with strong rifling, and the action works smoothly. It has traditional open sights, and adjustable rear and a hooded front. Comes with an aftermarket hardshell case, but no original box or paperwork.
