Winchester Repeating Arms Model 1895, serial #400325, manufactured 1917. In good condition, wood shows normal wear for the age. The Winchester Model 1895 is an iconic, John Browning-designed lever-action rifle. Unlike earlier models with tubular magazines, it features a non-detachable box magazine. This innovation allowed the rifle to safely fire modern smokeless powder cartridges and pointed (spitzer) bullets, making it one of the strongest lever-actions ever produced.
