WINCHESTER ~ 94 ~ .30 WCF

This 94 is a "transition rifle using a barrel stamped .30 WCF. Post WWII, Winchester changed the cartridge name to .30-30 Winchester, but used up old stocks of barrels rather than scrapping them. This one is a so-called Eastern Carbine without the Saddle Ring. These, along with the Marlin versions pretty much defined the term "deer rifle." They are short, light, nimble, and fast shooting. This perfectly matches the dense cover that deer, particularly white tails, hide in. Manufactured in 1947
