Winchester-Western Cooey 840 Shotgun, 12 Gauge, 30' Barrel

The Winchester-Western Cooey Model 840 (often referred to simply as the Cooey 840) with a 30-inch barrel in 12 gauge is a legendary, Canadian-made single-shot shotgun. Produced after Winchester acquired the H.W. Cooey Machine & Arms Company in the 1960s, this firearm combined Cooey's reputation for rugged reliability with Winchester's mass manufacturing power. Pressing the top lever swings the barrel downward, automatically activating an ejector or extractor to clear the chamber for a fresh shell.
