Winchester Repeating Arms continues our rimfire rifle revolution with the new Xpert bolt-action. The Xpert follows in the footsteps of its auto loading cousin, the Wildcat, featuring bold styling and innovative elements designed to enhance accuracy and performance, all at a price that leaves plenty of cash for ammo. When designing the Xpert, our focus was on accuracy and adding features to help you get the most from the rifle. Foremost among these is the new rimfire M.O.A. trigger. Like the trigger found in the model 70 and XPR rifles, the rimfire M.O.A. trigger is a three-lever design with zero creep, zero take-up and zero overtravel for a light pull that breaks like glass. The Xpert also features a precision button-rifled barrel and a 1/2 x 28 TPI threaded muzzle with a knurled thread protector. A hemispherical firing pin improves reliability with rimfire ammunition. The Xpert includes an adjustable rear sight and a blade front sight and the steel receiver is drilled and tapped to accept scope mounts. Controls are designed to be user-friendly, with an extended bolt handle for extra leverage and a conveniently positioned safety at the rear of the receiver. Dual, ambidextrous magazine releases on the sides and bottom of the rifle provide options and are designed to deliver the magazine into your hand efficiently. The Xpert uses the same polymer rotary magazine as the Wildcat and models chambered in .22LR also accept magazines that fit 10/22 rifles. Whether for range days or rabbit hunts, the Xpert offers a superior shooting experience. The tough polymer stock keeps the weight of the Xpert to a low 4.8 lb, making it easy to aim and carry. The stock also features a steep grip angle that improves finger-to-trigger reach. Need a little extra length of pull or height added to the comb for optics? A length of pull spacer that adds 3/4 inches to the stock is available, as is a clip-on cheek riser that raises your cheek 1/2 inches.
