We then added a double reed machine and created calls with 3 reeds. The Hyper Hammer is a double reed mouth call with a short taper and a longer taper. This was a request we had from a previous customer and we had to make it happen. We received numerous calls from customers who wanted double reed calls so we thought wed make them a Triple Reed mouth call. We had to make one so we thought wed make a double reed and a half reed version for the people who wanted a double reed mouth call. We then created a triple reed version and one out of the ordinary. We wanted to create a call that would reach out to a reed caller and with the long taper it was able to achieve a sound that only double reed calls can achieve. This gives you more notes to work with and the shorter taper the easier it is to use. The longer reed the less notes to learn to blow. Starting with the basics this call has a very thin taper so it can be operated with a broad range of hand muscles. It has a very low sliding action so it is easy to blow but also creates a better sounding reed.
