XS Sight Big Dot Tritium Front Sight for S&W Bodyguard 38 Special Orange

The XS Big Dot tritium night sight is a replacement front sight for the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 .38 Special revolver. Its job is to give you a large, easy-to-find aiming point when you bring the gun up. The 0.188" dot pairs a high-contrast orange outline for daylight with a green tritium glow for darkness, for visibility in changing light. This listing is the orange version, MFG # SW-0038S-3N, and XS also makes a yellow version (SW-0038S-3Y) if you prefer that color. Both use the Big Dot at 0.188" across, noticeably larger than the XS Standard Dot at 0.140", for a more prominent aiming reference. The sight fits the S&W Bodyguard 38 with one retaining pin. Retailer listings note that installation may require filing to fit the sight to the frame, so plan for some hand-fitting. If you have not fitted a pinned front sight before, have a qualified gunsmith do the work, then check your point of impact at the range before you carry.Once it is on the gun, the XS Big Dot earns its place in changing light. In daylight, the orange outline gives your eye a bright reference against the revolver. As the light fades, the glow dot absorbs ambient light and glows in low light, and in full darkness the tritium keeps the dot visible without any outside light source. The sight body is CNC machined steel and comes with a 10-year warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.Product Specificationsa Manufacturer part number SW-0038S-3Na UPC 647533000727a Fits Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 (.38 Special) with one retaining pina Tritium night sight, front sight onlya Big Dot style with a 0.188"" dota Green tritium glow with orange outlinea CNC machined steel constructiona Pinned installation, may require filing to fita 10-year warrantya 30-day satisfaction guaranteeThe XS Big Dot gives you a tritium night sight sized and colored to stand out on a .38 Special revolver you already trust.
