Description
The A-Zoom Action Proving Dummy Round is a training snap cap in 380 ACP, sold in a five-round pack. It is intended for dry fire practice, function testing, and teaching loading and safety procedures without live ammunition.
The dummy is machined from aluminum and finished in hard anodizing, which the manufacturer describes as allowing smooth feeding and cycling. Each round is red for easy identification as a non-live cartridge. The retailer also lists a dry fire rating of 3000 or more cycles.
The rounds are designed for 380 ACP pistols. Dummy rounds like these can also be used to keep a firearm stored with the spring relaxed, which the source text notes may extend spring life.
