The Gen 2 Micro Bastard by American Precision Arms was designed for the smaller barrels of AR-15s and hunting rifles but has since gained popularity in the 3-gun competition markets. Unlike many muzzle brakes that are cast or printed the Micro Bastard is precision machined from solid steel giving it excellent durability and a long service life. It comes equipped with a separate nut piece - this allows the user to install the Micro Bastard at home and eliminates the need for ugly crush washers or peel washers. Installation takes about 30 seconds and is equally as easy to remove for cleaning or for moving the brake from barrel to barrel.
