Criterion Barrels 12.5" .223 Wylde Hybrid Phosphate/Chrome-Lined Carbine Length Barrel 1:8 Twist

The Criterion AR-15 Hybrid barrel is designed for extreme accuracy without the added weight that a typical HBAR contour has. These barrels are chambered in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 button rifled twist rate to squeeze out every bit of accuracy possible. The chrome lining process makes the bore extremely hard to withstand the constant friction of a high-powered round passing through resulting in a long barrel life. The bore is then hand-lapped to make sure the lands and grooves are as smooth and consistent as possible to further ensure you are getting the most accuracy as possible. This 12.5 inch barrel is built with a carbine length gas system and an optimized gas port size to ensure reliable function with both 5.56 and .223 ammunition. If you are building a new AR-15 and accuracy and reliability are at the top of your checklist, then check out the Criterion Hybrid line of barrels. Features: 12.5" barrel with .223 Wylde chamber Hybrid barrel contour Chrome lined and hand lapped bore 1:8 button rifled twist Carbine length gas system with .750" diameter Dimpled beneath the gas port Weight: 1.65 lbs This Criterion AR-15 barrel also features a dimple beneath the gas port for set screw style gas blocks. This makes sure that the gas block is securely mounted and won't move around while firing. This barrel is made from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and has a parkerized finish. This Criterion Hybrid barrel is built to withstand years of heavy use while providing exceptional accuracy. Criterion Barrels are known for building high quality, precision AR-15 and AR-10 barrels as well as barrels for older firearms like the M1 Garand, M14, and Lee Enfield. Their barrels are used by the US Army Marksmanship Unit Action Shooting Team and the US Marine Corps Combat Shooting Team and are proven to win matches time and time again.
