Description
The Rock Island Armory VR80 is a semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun built on an AR-15 style platform, intended for home defense, 3-gun competition and general target shooting. Its receiver, upper, lower and handguard are made from 7075-T6 aluminum, and the black finish is anodized.
The shotgun has a 20-inch barrel with a 3-inch chamber, a 5-round capacity, flip-up front and rear sights, an ambidextrous safety and charging handle, and a fluted barrel shroud. It weighs 7.39 pounds with an overall length of 40 inches. Included chokes are F, M and IC via MobilChoke.
The buttstock is a fixed thumbhole design that fits most AR-style buffer tube stocks and pistol grips, and it ships with a 5-round magazine. Factory 9- and 19-round magazines are sold separately.
