Federal Premium Vital-Shok TruBall 12 Gauge 2-3/4" 1 oz Hollow Point Rifled Slug 5 Rounds

The Federal Premium Vital-Shok TruBall is a 12 gauge shotgun slug load for hunting, sold in boxes of five rounds. Each 2-3/4 inch shell carries a 1 oz (438 grain) hollow point rifled slug that is intended to give smoothbore shotgun barrels slug accuracy and range.

The load uses a plastic ball between the wad and the slug, which the manufacturer says improves accuracy. Rated muzzle velocity is 1300 feet per second. It is marketed as a low recoil load for shooters who find full-power slug loads uncomfortable.

The shells are designed for smoothbore barrels and can also be fired through rifled choke tube barrels or fully rifled barrels. Cases contain 50 boxes.
