Federal Premium Vital-Shok TruBall 12 Gauge 3" 1oz Hollow Point Rifled Slug 5 Rounds

The Federal Premium Vital-Shok TruBall is a 12 gauge, 3-inch rifled slug shotgun shell intended for hunting. It uses a hollow point rifled slug weighing 438 grains (1 oz) with a muzzle velocity of 1700 fps. A plastic ball sits between the wad and the base of the slug to center the projectile in the barrel during firing, which the manufacturer states improves accuracy in smoothbore shotguns.

The load is designed primarily for smoothbore barrels and can also be fired in rifled choke tube barrels and fully rifled 12 gauge barrels. Each box contains 5 rounds, and each case contains 50 boxes.
