Description
Barnes Pioneer 45-70 Government is factory-loaded hunting ammunition for lever-action rifles and single-shot or other compatible platforms in the 45-70 Government chambering. Each round uses a 400 grain jacketed soft point bullet intended for terminal performance on game, with expansion and weight retention for deeper penetration.
The rounds carry a 400 grain bullet at a listed muzzle velocity of 1715 feet per second. The jacket is a soft point design, and the cases are brass and boxer-primed. The ammunition is new production and non-corrosive.
Each box holds 20 rounds, and each case contains 10 boxes. The brass cases are reloadable.
