The lightweight can be attributed to internal relief cuts in the receiver, no side-rib between the barrels, an increased cavity in the stock, and an aluminum forend iron system and trigger guard. The stock is outfitted with Beretta's exclusive Kick-Off Recoil Reduction System, which utilizes 2 hydraulic dampeners similar to those used in automobile suspensions to significantly cut down on recoil even with magnum shells.
