The Breakthrough Clean Technologies Universal Bore Guide Aluminum is a gunsmith tool that aligns a cleaning rod with the bore and protects the chamber, breech and bore from abrasive wear caused by a bowing or bending rod. It fits most bolt-action rifles, and an adapter sleeve is included for AR-15 upper receivers, where it adds support while cleaning.
The guide is machined from anodized aluminum and measures 12.5 inches overall. Interchangeable tips cover bore sizes from .17 to .416 caliber and allow the guide to pass smoothly through the chamber. A threaded brass pin anchors the guide rod to the action so it does not shift while a cleaning rod is pushed through.
A built-in port allows solvent to be applied to the cleaning patch inserted in the bore without mess.
