Brownells AR-15 Buffer Retainer 5.56 Steel Black

Brownells AR-15 Buffer Retainer Features The Brownells AR-15 Buffer Retainer is a steel component that works with its matching spring to hold the buffer and action spring securely inside the lower receiver. A properly functioning retainer keeps the buffer assembly seated correctly during cycling which is essential for reliable operation of the bolt carrier group. Over time or with heavy use the original retainer can wear or lose its spring tension leading to buffer retention issues. Replacing it with this precision-fit steel retainer restores the buffer system to proper working order. Finished in black and manufactured from steel this retainer is built as a direct-fit replacement part for any standard AR-15 platform rifle. It is a small inexpensive component that is easy to overlook until it fails making it worth keeping as a spare for routine maintenance. Builders assembling a parts rifle can use it alongside a matching retainer spring to complete the buffer retention assembly. The Brownells AR-15 Buffer Retainer is a simple reliable fix for a critical function inside your rifle s lower receiver.
