Brownells Chamber Flex Hone .30-06 Springfield 400 Grit

Brownells Chamber Hone Features The Brownells .30-06 Springfield Chamber Hone is built around a flexible twisted steel shaft fitted with abrasive silicon carbide balls rated at 400 grit. As the hone is worked in and out of the chamber the balls polish away roughness and scoring that can cause cases to stick during extraction. This process typically takes only minutes and can restore smooth cycling without the need for gunsmithing tools or chamber reaming. The 400 grit abrasive is fine enough to refine the surface without removing excessive material from the chamber walls. Brownells specifies that the hone must be used with Flex Hone oil to work properly and protect the chamber surface during the polishing process. Instructions are included making this a straightforward at-home fix for shooters who notice increasingly difficult extraction on a .30-06 rifle. It is a low-cost alternative to a full chamber reaming job when the issue is simply surface roughness rather than a dimensional problem. Any shooter dealing with sticky cases in a .30-06 rifle can benefit from running this hone before assuming a bigger repair is needed.
