Description
1955 Browning superposed two barrel set in 12 Gauge with 2 3/4" chambers. The left side of the 26.5" barrel is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY - ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI / SPECIAL STEEL - 12GA. - SHELLS 2 3/4". The left of the monoblock is marked "45353 / 1". The left side of the top chamber is marked "updated from **- to **S" and the lower is marked "updated from **- to **S". The right of the top barrel is marked "PATENTS Nr 2.203378 - 2.233861 / MADE IN BELGIUM"". The left side of the 28" barrel is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY - ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI / SPECIAL STEEL - 12GA. - SHELLS 2 3/4". The left of the monoblock is marked "45353 / 2". The left side of the top chamber is marked "*" and the lower is marked "**". The bottom of the monoblock is marked with proofs. The right of the top barrel is marked "PATENTS Nr 2.203378 - 2.233861 / MADE IN BELGIUM"". Both barrels are fitted with white mid-bead and a High Viz front sight on a checkered vent rib. This also has a manual safety / barrel selector switch and ejectors. The sides of the receiver are lightly scroll engraved with the bottom of the receiver marked "BROWNING". The stocks are a two piece checkered walnut with a round pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and checkered forend. The buttpad is a ventilated rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Stock measurements: (DC-1 1/2", DH- 2 1/4") with a neutral cast. Overall this gun remains in very good condition with some minor handing wear and comes with a Browning travel case. The second barrel does have a bulge after the chamber.
