Butler Creek Flip-Open Objective Lens Cover #40 57.2mm Black Polymer

The Butler Creek Flip-Open Objective Lens Cover #40 is a black polymer cap that protects the front objective lens of a riflescope from dust, moisture and scratches. It is designed to open with a flip of the thumb, so the lens can be uncovered quickly when needed.

This cover is sized for a 57.2 mm (2.250 in) outside diameter objective bell and slips on over the lens. It uses a friction mount with a semi O-ring to hold it in place. Two finger tabs extend from both sides of the cap, so it works for right- or left-handed shooters.

To confirm fit, check the scope's owner's manual or measure the objective's outside diameter with calipers. The cover should be roughly 0.01 to 0.025 inch (0.25 to 0.64 mm) larger than the measured diameter.
