The Smith & Wesson M&P9c (M&P 9 Compact) is a striker-fired, polymer-frame semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm. Purpose-built for concealed carry and law enforcement backup use, it blends the duty-grade reliability of the full-size M&P series with a shortened grip and slide. Note that this describes the classic, original M&P9c platform, which features a 3.5" to 3.6" barrel profile depending on production year generation. Features a natural 18-degree grip angle designed to mimic classic target pistols, promoting intuitive pointing and faster sight alignment during rapid strings of fire. Outfitted with dual, functional slide stop levers on both sides of the frame, paired with a reversible magazine release button to accommodate left-handed shooters.
