Description
The Chiappa 1887 is a lever-action 12 gauge shotgun, a reproduction of the classic 1887 design that is often cited as the first successful repeating shotgun. It uses the original solid lever and includes an internal safety.
The rifle has a 22-inch blued barrel with a bead front sight and a color case hardened steel receiver. The walnut stock and forearm are finished in walnut. It chambers 12 gauge 2.75-inch shells, holds 5 rounds plus one in the chamber, weighs 9 pounds, and measures 39 inches overall.
The 1887 is offered as a right-hand gun. Its walnut stock and case hardened receiver give it a traditional appearance.
