Cimarron 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 .45 Colt 8" 6-Round Revolver

Cimarron Firearms 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 Features The Cimarron 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 reproduces the historic Richards-Mason cartridge conversion a design that allowed original cap-and-ball 1860 Army revolvers to be converted to fire self-contained metallic cartridges. This model carries that conversion styling forward chambered in modern .45 Colt giving shooters an authentic-looking revolver that runs on readily available ammunition. Its 8 barrel offers an extended sight radius that aids accuracy at range compared to shorter-barreled single-action revolvers. Fixed sights keep the profile clean and consistent with the historical design this revolver reproduces. The case hardened frame provides the mottled coloring characteristic of period-correct single-action revolvers while the nickel-finished barrel and cylinder create a striking contrast against it. A one-piece walnut grip rounds out the classic presentation offering a secure and traditional feel in the hand. At roughly 2.65 lbs the revolver balances well for extended range sessions or cowboy action stages. Cimarron s dedication to faithfully reproducing historic firearms designs makes the 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 a strong choice for collectors and active single-action shooters alike.
