Cimarron 1866 Yellowboy Brass 38-40 Win 24" Octagon 12-Round Rifle

Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy Features The Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy reproduces the iconic brass-framed lever-action design in .38-40 Win pairing a brasslite receiver with a blued octagon barrel for the same two-tone appearance that made the original famous. The 24 inch octagon barrel carries a 1:36 twist rate matched to stabilize .38-40 projectiles for consistent accuracy at traditional lever-gun ranges. The smooth-running lever action cycles quickly through the 12-round tubular magazine giving competitors a fast follow-up capability on timed stages. Its longer barrel length compared to shorter carbine variants adds a bit more sight radius for precise aiming. A genuine walnut stock gives the rifle a warm traditional look while holding up to the wear of frequent handling at matches or in the field. The fit and finish echo the craftsmanship expected from a faithful period reproduction and the blued barrel and receiver resist corrosion from regular use. At 8.5 pounds the rifle carries enough heft to help tame recoil without feeling cumbersome to carry or shoulder repeatedly. For shooters and collectors seeking an authentic .38-40 lever gun built for both display and active use the 1866 Yellowboy delivers exactly that experience.
