Description
The Colt Defender is a compact semi-automatic pistol in the 1911 platform, chambered in .45 ACP and built for concealed carry and everyday use. Its short 3-inch barrel and aluminum alloy frame keep the overall weight to about 1.5 pounds, making it easier to carry for extended periods.
The pistol is finished in blue and holds 7 rounds in a single-stack magazine. It uses Novak night sights, with a white dot front sight and a low-mount rear sight, to aid target acquisition. A thumb safety, upswept beavertail grip safety, and Series 80 firing pin safety are included, along with a single-action trigger with a three-hole aluminum design and G10 partially checkered grips.
The Defender is designed for a locked breech operating system and is suited to both carry and range use.
