Colt 1911 Government Engravers 45 ACP 5" 7-Round Pistol

Colt Firearms 1911 Government Engravers Features The Colt Firearms 1911 Government Engravers s external hammer single action design delivers the crisp familiar trigger break long associated with the 1911 platform while the blued steel frame and slide provide a smooth uniform surface ideally suited to hand engraving. The absence of roll marks and factory sights leaves the frame and slide clear for a custom engraver s work distinguishing this model from a standard production Government model. A thumb safety works alongside the grip safety to provide dual manual safeties consistent with the original 1911 design. Wood double diamond grips add a classic touch that complements an engraved finish and the single stack magazine keeps the grip slim for a traditional 1911 feel in the hand. At 35 ounces the steel-framed pistol carries the heft that helps manage recoil in .45 ACP and its 5 inch barrel is rifled for consistent accuracy. For collectors and engravers looking for an unadorned canvas to personalize in the classic 1911 Government format the Colt Firearms 1911 Government Engravers is available for sale at ARMSAGORA.
