Description
This is a WW1 Colt Model 1917 revolver that was issued to the US Army. This gun is marked "Colt D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel and "United States Property" on the underside of the barrel. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. / PAT'D AUG. 5, 1884. JUNE 5, 1900. JULY 4. 1905". The rear left side of the frame is marked with a faint rampant Colt logo. The left side of the frame above the trigger guard is marked "AA" and the rear of the trigger guard bow is marked "3". "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/No/139/915585" marked on the butt. The crane cut is marked "H", "Y", and "284890". The crane is marked "284890". It also has an attached lanyard ring.
