CVA 20 pk Paramount VariFlame Adapters AC1716

CVA's Variflame Adapters allow for the use of large rifle primers instead of 209 primers. Early testing of the CVA Paramount Rifle revealed that the standard 209 shotshell primer could not withstand the increased pressures generated by the "super-magnum" Blackhorn propellant loads being used. This resulting swelling of the 209 primers made them very difficult to remove after firing. The Variflame Adapters eliminate this problem. Also, the large rifle primers apparently provide a more complete and consistent burn of the powder column, and thus provide more consistent velocities -- a must for accurate long-range shooting. With the Variflame adapters being a small, easy to lose, high wear part, this pack of 20 will ensure that there are plenty of extra adapters in case some are lost or broken.
