Description
The Faxon EXOS-524 is a pistol compensator for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and Shield Plus chambered in 9mm Luger. It threads onto the barrel to reduce muzzle movement during firing. Its 6061 aluminum body carries a black anodized finish, and the overall length is 1.1 inches.
The compensator uses a single-chamber design with an angled front port, which directs gas upward as well as sideways. According to the listing, this is intended to reduce up-and-down muzzle movement and improve consistency. The thread pitch is 1/2"x28. Barrel protrusion is designed to sit flush with the slide when used with Faxon barrels; with other barrels, the listing specifies protrusion of .600 inches or less.
Each unit includes thread locker, two 6-32 set screws, and a 1/16 Allen wrench.
