Description
The Faxon Duty Series SOCOM is a 16-inch AR-15 barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, intended for builders and owners who want a lighter barrel that remains suitable for suppressor use over the long term. It is machined from 4150 steel and finished in QPQ black nitride.
The barrel uses a 1:8 twist rate and a mid-length gas system fit. Its profile is described by the manufacturer as a blend of government and pencil contours, aiming to keep the durability of a heavier barrel while reducing weight and keeping the balance closer to the shooter.
