Description
The Faxon M16 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group is a replacement bolt carrier assembly for AR-15 rifles built to mil-spec dimensions. It is designed for use in 223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO chambered rifles.
The carrier is machined from 9310 steel and finished with a titanium nitride PVD coating in gold. The bolt is nitrided for surface hardness and corrosion resistance, and its lugs are chamfered at 45 degrees. The extractor is made from S7 tool steel, heat treated, shot peened, and QPQ nitrided. The gas key uses grade 8 fasteners and is staked in place.
The group is superfinished to reduce friction and fouling. The manufacturer states it is rated for full-auto use and works with full-auto and multi-stage fire control groups.
