The Faxon Match Series Barrel for the 223 Remington (Wylde) is manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave. The barrel is machined from gun-barrel quality bar-stock steel with black nitride coating for added durability and longevity. The extension is coated in Nickel Teflon which maintains incredibly dry lubricity, corrosion resistance, and works to tighten the fit between the extension and receiver - which improves the accuracy as well. The 5R is a hybrid rifling, with opposite groove lands (cut ridges), as well as reduced sharp angles that reduces jacket deformation increasing the velocity. This makes for an extremely easy barrel for cleaning. The Match Series hybrid chamber with 5R rifling also comes fully MPI inspected and offers better accuracy through less bullet jump.
