Faxon Firearms Match Series Target 308 Win 20" Bead Blast 416-R Stainless Barrel

Faxon Firearms Match Series Target Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms Match Series Target Barrel is built around 5R button rifling a rifling style that reduces bullet deformation and fouling compared to conventional lands and grooves which helps the .308 Win round leave the muzzle with more consistent velocity shot to shot. The 1:10 twist rate is matched to stabilize the full range of .308 bullet weights commonly used in precision and match shooting. Inside and out the barrel receives a Nitride treatment that hardens the bore surface improving wear resistance and extending service life under sustained use. The 20 length gives the cartridge room to reach its full velocity potential a real advantage for shooters stretching distance on a gas gun. The barrel extension is finished in Nickel Teflon coating which maintains dry lubricity and corrosion resistance while tightening the fit between the extension and the receiver for smoother cycling. A Bead Blast exterior finish on the 416-R stainless steel barrel resists glare in the field without the maintenance demands of a polished surface. The 5/8x24 threaded muzzle accepts standard .30 caliber muzzle devices and suppressors giving the shooter flexibility to configure the rifle for hunting competition or range use. Built in-house by Faxon from gun-barrel-quality stock this Match Series barrel is a direct fit for AR-10 pattern rifles looking for a meaningful accuracy upgrade.
