Description
Federal Premium Gold Medal Berger Elite Hunter BackCountry is a 7mm Backcountry cartridge loaded for hunting. Each round carries a 195-grain hybrid boat tail hollow point bullet from Berger, rated at a muzzle velocity of 3,000 fps. The cartridge is designed for compact rifles with shorter barrels, including suppressed setups.
The 7mm Backcountry case is built from a one-piece high-strength steel alloy rather than brass, and it is dimensionally smaller than comparable brass-case cartridges. That combination is intended to deliver high velocity from short barrels and allow an extra round in the magazine of many platforms.
