Federal Shorty 12 Gauge 1-3/4" 1 oz Rifled Slug 10 Rounds

The Federal Shorty 12 gauge rifled slug is a 1-3/4 inch shotshell built for use in shotguns chambered for 12 gauge 1-3/4 inch shells. It fires a single 1 oz (438 grain) rifled slug for a single projectile at close to medium range, and is sold in boxes of 10 rounds with 10 boxes per case.

The shell is rated at a muzzle velocity of about 1200 fps. The raw retailer description states the shorter shell offers performance similar to full-size 12 gauge counterparts, but this listing does not include the full ballistic data needed to confirm that comparison.

Because the shell is shorter than standard 2-3/4 and 3-inch loads, it should only be used in guns chambered for 1-3/4 inch shells, which the manufacturer lists as the intended chamber for this product.
