This Argyle is a rare, single-barrel 12-gauge shotgun made by the Firearms Co. Ltd. of Bridgewater, England. It features an unusual top lever/sliding mechanism on the action rather than a traditional break-open under-lever or top snap. Pulling the rear lever cocks the internal striker/hammer, sets the safety, and opens the action.
