Description
The FN M249S Para is a semi-automatic version of the FN M249 Para, a belt-fed rifle in 5.56x45mm NATO from FN America's Military Collector Series. It was designed for airborne armored infantry and close-quarters combat, and it retains the features of the FN M249 SAW.
The rifle has a 16.1-inch barrel with a hammer-forged, removable heat shield and a 1:7 twist. Its collapsible stock locks solidly and reduces overall length by 8 inches. The steel receiver is Flat Dark Earth, the stock is black, and the trigger has a smooth, curved shoe with a 6-pound pull. A crossbolt safety is included for thumb operation.
The package includes a bipod and carry handle and accepts a 30-round magazine or 200-round links. It can be field-converted back to the standard M249 configuration in about 30 seconds.
