The Fortis Manufacturing Billet Magazine Catch & Release Button in Flat Dark Earth is a replacement magazine catch and release button for AR-15 rifles with a mil-spec lower receiver. It is CNC machined from a solid billet and is intended as a replacement for the stock parts in a mil-spec lower parts kit.
The button is available in 6061-T6 aluminum or 303 stainless steel and has a nitride finish. It carries the same low profile as a mil-spec magazine button, which helps keep the magazine catch from being over-thrown. The front face has aggressive serrations, and the part is described as ultra lightweight.
The package includes a magazine button, magazine catch, catch rod, and a 17-7 stainless steel magazine spring. The magazine rod is 303 stainless steel.
