Description
The Fortis Manufacturing Night Rail is a 16-inch free-float handguard for the AR-15 platform, chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO. It is designed to mount to the rifle with full 360-degree contact and to be straightforward to install. The rail uses a two-piece barrel nut that the manufacturer developed in-house, and it is finished in black.
The handguard accepts M-LOK accessories along its length. The free-float design keeps the rail from contacting the barrel, which is the main reason to choose a free-float system. The manufacturer lists the part as Night Rail model NTR-16-ML.
The rail is intended for AR-15 rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO. Confirm the barrel nut and mounting hardware match your upper receiver before purchase.
