The forward Controls Design ejection-port cover (EPC) is a precision engineered enhancement for firearms, crafted with user-centric design principles. The EPC is constructed from high-strength 7075 aluminum, billet machined and finished with a hardcoat type III anodization for durability in demanding conditions. A key feature of the EPC is the inclusion of two strategically placed tabs flanking the port cover spring cutout. These tabs allow the cover to rest at a greater angle when open, providing more space between the cover and the lower receiver. This design facilitates easier access, enabling users to swing the cover up or close it effortlessly. Additionally, the EPC includes a shallow circular depression on its side, offering tactile feedback to the user's finger during operation. This textured area enhances grip and control, unlike flat surfaces that provide no differentiation or traction.
