A cold hammer forged, chrome-lined 13.9" barrel with a 1:7 twist runs on a mid-length gas system tuned around Geissele's Super Compact Gas Block, which keeps cycling smooth and felt recoil low across a wide range of 5.56 loads. This is the same barrel and gas tuning found across the Geissele Super Duty MOD1 line, so reliability here isn't a scaled-down promise - it's the same engineering, shortened. Fully ambidextrous controls carry over directly from the platform: a left-side magazine release below the Maritime Bolt Catch speeds up reloads for left-handed shooters, while a dust-cover-actuated bolt catch and release button on the right keep things instinctive no matter which hand is running the gun.
