Description
The Griffin Armament Optimus 6 Taper Mount is a 6mm suppressor built with additive manufacturing and a high-flow baffle design intended to reduce backpressure compared with traditional suppressor construction. Lower backpressure is meant to limit gas blowback toward the shooter on gas-operated platforms. The suppressor is optimized for 5.56mm platforms and is rated to handle higher-performance 6mm projectiles.
The body is constructed from 17-4PH stainless steel and finished in black Cerakote. It measures 6.68 inches in overall length and weighs 1.03 pounds. The tube is machined after printing for a smooth exterior, and the blast shield and mount system are laser-welded to the baffle core.
The package includes a 1/2x28 EZ-Brake taper mount, which is the mounting interface for this model.
