The Harris 1A2-BRM is a non-swivel bipod designed to attach to the sling swivel stud of a bolt action rifle, giving the shooter a stable support for shooting from the prone position or off a bench. Its spring-loaded legs deploy quickly, and the bipod can be detached without tools when it is not needed.
The bipod extends from 6 to 9 inches, with notched legs that adjust in 1-inch increments. Its hinged bases carry tension adjustment to reduce looseness in the crotch area. The bipod is made of heat-treated steel and hard alloy with an anodized black finish and weighs 11 ounces. Because it clamps to the stud rather than the stock, it does not interfere with carrying the rifle on a sling or shooting off-hand.
The 1A2-BRM is intended for bolt action rifles with a conventional stock design and a sling swivel stud. It is most useful for shooting off the bench.
