Description
The Henry Side Gate is a lever-action rifle chambered in 38-55 Winchester, designed for whitetail hunting, range use and display. It uses a removable tube magazine for safe unloading and a side loading gate that allows the magazine to be topped off without removing the tube.
The hardened brass receiver is paired with a 20-inch blued round steel barrel with a 1:18 twist. The American walnut stock and forend are checkered for grip, and brass accents appear on the receiver, buttplate and barrel band. The rifle has a semi-buckhorn rear sight and an ivory bead front sight, a transfer bar safety, and weighs 7.5 pounds with an overall length of 38.3 inches.
The rifle is right-handed and holds five rounds in the tube magazine plus one in the chamber. It has a 14-inch length of pull.
