Description
The Henry Long Ranger is a lever-action rifle built for hunting at longer distances in 223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO. It keeps the traditional lever-action operation, with an exposed hammer and forged steel lever, while using a geared action that drives a chromed steel bolt with a 6-lug rotary head into a rear barrel extension for consistent lockup.
The rifle has a 20-inch blued, free-floated sporter barrel, an aerospace alloy receiver with a black hardcoat anodized finish, and a walnut stock. Open adjustable iron sights include an ivory bead front and a folding rear. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It weighs 7 pounds, measures 40.5 inches overall, and holds 5 rounds in a flush-fit detachable steel-bodied magazine. Side ejection and a right-hand configuration are standard.
