Herters Single Six Revolver chambered in 401 Powermag. Herter's was a shooting/hunting mail-order supply company located in Waseca, MN, that went out of business in the 1980s. George Herter had one proprietary handgun round, the 401 Powermag. A German gun company, J.P. Sauer and Sohn created the Powermag revolvers for Mr. Herter. At this time you could order a handgun through the mail until the 1968 firearms act that banned mail order sales to private citizens. This unused revolver remains in near new condition.
