Herters Single Six Revolver chambered in 401 Powermag. Herter's was a shooting/hunting mail-order supply company located in Waseca, MN, that went out of business in the 1980s. George Herter had one proprietary handgun round, the 401 Powermag. A German gun company, J.P. Sauer and Sohn created the Powermag revolvers for Mr. Herter. At this time you could order a handgun through the mail until the 1968 firearms act that banned mail order sales to private citizens. The revolver remains in very good condition and shows some minor handling use wear.
