Description
The HKS 36-A is a five-round speedloader for 38 Special and 357 Magnum revolver cartridges, built for reloading a revolver quickly under stress. Its metal cartridge-holding points secure the rounds in a black metal body until a simple twist releases them into the cylinder.
The loader fits a range of compact revolvers, including Smith & Wesson J-frame models in the 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 49 and 60 series, Taurus 605 and 85, Ruger SP101, Charter Arms and Rossi 68. A knurled aluminum knob provides a secure grip and makes the loader easier to draw from a pouch.
Some revolvers have oversized grips that can interfere with speedloaders. Those grips must be altered or replaced so the loader does not touch them when cartridges are released.
