Description
Hornady Critical Defense 9mm Luger is a factory-loaded handgun cartridge built for concealed carry pistols. It uses a 115 grain Flex Tip eXpanding (FTX) bullet with a soft polymer insert intended to produce controlled expansion and a large wound cavity across a range of impact velocities.
Loads are rated at a muzzle velocity of 1135 feet per second. The cartridge uses brass cases, boxer primers, and clean-burning propellant, which the manufacturer states reduces felt recoil in lightweight handguns and limits muzzle flash in short barrels.
Each box contains 25 rounds, and each case holds 10 boxes. Cases are reloadable brass.
